LG H&H New Personalized Skincare

By using visual AI and genetic biomarkers, LG Household & Healthcare is launching new skin personalization to aid in their Skin Longevity project. The general project aims to provide tailored skincare solutions based on specific target and facial recognition.

Visual AI

LG H&H used visual AI to analyse 16,000 Korean women. The visual AI tracked about 68 facial points to quantify how different parts of the face age at different rates. Ultimately, the AI identified six key indicators of aging:

  • Eye tail sagging and eye width ration
  • Lip divot height and lip ratio
  • facial width and countour ratio

Genetic Biomarkers

10 genetic markers were linked to facial aging

  • FOXL2 gene
  • FGF10 gene

Precision in Skincare

This AI diagnostic platform hopes to improve product target precision in order to aid in aging patterns. LG H&H’s goal is to provide a data-driven, scientifically validated alternative to generic skincare, while delaying aging.
